Getting Started

Analytics Hub

Track return trends, reasons, and financial impact across your store.

The Analytics hub (the Insights page in the app) is where you go when the question changes from “what should I do right now” to “what’s actually happening to my returns over time?” It’s the analyst surface, not the operator surface.

What’s in the hub

Insights is organised as a set of focused tabs, each with one job:

  • Risk overview — Distribution across LOW / MEDIUM / HIGH zones, risk trend over time, and the share of returns auto-actioned by workflows. Read about risk distribution →
  • Reasons — Free-text return reasons grouped into clusters (sizing, quality, expectations, change-of-mind, etc.). Read about reason clusters →
  • Products — Returns broken down by product, product type, and category. Product risk map · Product type breakdown · Category breakdown
  • Refund methods — Which refund channel customers are taking (refund-to-original, store credit, exchange). Read about refund methods →
  • Financial impact — Dollar value of returns, refunds processed, and the estimated saved-by-RefundSentry number. Read about financial impact →
  • Cross-dimensional — A flexible drill-down that lets you slice any metric by any dimension (e.g. “sizing returns by product type for VIP customers in the last 30 days”).

Date filters

Every tab respects a global date range picker at the top. Default is the last 30 days. The picker also supports period comparison — pick two ranges and every chart shows both side-by-side with the delta highlighted. Read about period comparison →

Export and share

Most charts have an export button that downloads a CSV of the underlying data. Use this to drop into your own spreadsheet, hand to a finance team, or feed into a business intelligence tool.

Performance

Insights queries hit a pre-aggregated rollup table that’s updated nightly, not the raw return data. This is why a 90-day view loads in < 2 seconds even for stores processing thousands of returns. The trade-off: data is up to 24h stale on the analytics tabs, but real-time on the dashboard and customer pages.
